I. Information on the processing of data pursuant to Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

2. Data processed for the purpose of providing the website and generating log files

a. Which data are processed for which purpose?

Whenever a user accesses the website content, data are saved temporarily that might allow user identification. The following data are collected:

- Date and time of access

- IP address

- Hostname of the accessing computer

- Website from which the HGSKK website was accessed

- Further websites accessed from the HGSKK website

- The page on the HGSKK website that was visited

- Information if the access was successful

- Data volume transferred

- Information on the browser type and version used

- Operating system

The temporary saving of those data is necessary for visits to our website and for its provision. In addition, log files save information in order to ensure website functionality and IT systems safety and security. Those purposes constitute our legitimate interest in processing of the data.

b. What is the legal basis for the processing of those data?

The data are processed on the basis of Article 6(1), point f of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

c. Are there any other recipients of the personal data besides the controller?

The aforementioned data will not be disclosed to any third parties.

d. For how long will the data be stored?

The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. Regarding the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended. Log files will be kept for a maximum of 24 hours for direct and exclusive access by administrators. Subsequently, they will be available only indirectly through the reconstruction of backup tapes and will be finally deleted after no more than four weeks.

3. Data subject rights

a. Right of access

In accordance with Art. 15 of the GDPR you may obtain information on your personal data that are processed by us.

b. Right to object

You have the right to object on grounds relating to your particular situation (see item II).

c. Right to rectification

In cases the data concerning you are not (or no longer) correct, you may obtain a rectification pursuant to Art. 16 of the GDPR. In case your data is incomplete, you have the right to have them completed.

d. Right to erasure

You may obtain the erasure of your personal data pursuant to Art. 17 of the GDPR.

e. Right to restriction of processing

In accordance with Art. 18 of the GDPR, you have the right to obtain a restriction of processing of your personal data.

f. Right to lodge a complaint

If you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority of your choice pursuant to Art. 77(1) of the GDPR, including the relevant supervisory authority for the controller: North Rhine-Westphalian State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, https://www.ldi.nrw.de/kontakt/ihre-beschwerde.

g. Right to data portability

Provided that the conditions specified in Art. 20(1) of the GDPR are met, you have the right to receive, or to have transmitted to third parties, the personal data concerning you that we are processing by automated means based on your consent or on a contract. The collection of data for the purpose of providing the website and the storage of data in log files are absolutely necessary for operating the website. As a result, data collection and storage are not based on consent given pursuant to point (a) of Art. 6(1) of the GDPR or on a contract pursuant to point (b) of Art. 6(1) of the GDPR, but are lawful pursuant to point (f) of Art. 6(1) of the GDPR. Consequently, the conditions as laid out in Art. 20(1) of the GDPR are not met.



II. Right to object pursuant to Art. 21(1) of the GDPR

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on point (f) of Art. 6(1) of the GDPR. The controller will then no longer process the personal data unless he/she demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the person concerned or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. The collection of data for the purpose of providing the website and the storage of data in log files are absolutely necessary for operating the website.
